My first name is Mark, but everyone calls me SWANY...

I'm originally from Johnstown PA, a small coal mining and steel mill town outside Pittsburgh. My grandfather, uncles and my father have over 100 years in the coal mine and steel mills combined. At the age of 7, my parents put me in dance classes after seeing Lynn Swann of the Pittsburgh Steelers transfer his ballet skills onto the football field. It's safe to say after that, I broke the Swanhart mold. I went on to major in dance at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA ... but dance has led me to so much more. I've been blessed to have an amazing career in the entertainment industry where I've gone on to choreograph, write, direct and produce for stage, film and television.
